Dear Tantillo's Farm Market,
You've done it again! For the second year in a row, apples picked at your farm have been responsible for the winning pie in the Culinary Institute of America's (CIA) annual pie/scholarship contest. Two days before our bake-off, we had the pleasure of picking apples (and rhubarb for my friend, Amanda) at your beautiful orchard and enjoying all of your hospitality. I selected a mixture of Crispin and Stayman Winesaps, which the judges must have liked because I won first prize-- a $25,000 scholarship to the CIA! I only hope that the CIA will continue to share your treasure for the years to come, because I know that your orchard was a highlight of all of our trips.
